Back from their first European tour supporting US Classic-Metal
acts OMEN and PHANTOM-X; Italian Thrash Metal mongers
HYADES are now ready to release their second full-length
album for the legendary Mausoleum Records label.
Originally formed back in 1996, HYADES play a perfect
blend of European and US old-school thrash metal, a
treat for all fans of celebrated bands of the genre,
such as ANTHRAX, EXODUS, and KREATOR.
The pure wop thrash metal assault of "AND THE
WORST IS YET TO COME" is ready to smash your face
in with eleven brand new songs resulting in 45 minutes
of the loudest tongue-in-cheek Thrash metal you've ever
heard. Written and recorded during the first half of
2006, the new album features awesome cover artwork by
the celebrated artist ED REPKA (DEATH, MEGADETH, EVILDEAD,
TOXIK and many more - fans check out a feature on REPKA
in the February issue of TERRORIZER Magazine).
AND THE WORST IS YET TO COME also features the revised
HYADES line-up now including RODOLFO "RAWDEATH"
RIDOLFI on drums, besides LORENZO TESTA and MARCO NEGONDA
on guitars, and MARCO COLOMBO, on vocals and BOB ORLANDO
on bass.
After the release of their debut album, ABUSE YOUR ILLUSIONS,
back in November 2005, HYADES first toured and promoted
their brand of Thrash music in their native Italy, before
embarking on a two-week European tour in September 2006,
along with label comrades and friends OMEN and PHANTOM
X. Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and
Italy were the countries "thrashed" by the
Mausoleum Metal Master Tour.
Ready to beat the street again HYADES will support the
release of their second album "AND THE WORST IS
YET TO COME", due on the 1st of March, with a list
of shows planned for the next months. Armed with fast
drum blasts, high-energy riffs and screaming vocals,
the new album takes no prisoners, and will surely delight
fans of the glorious Thrash Metal sound of the past,
blended with just the right amount of fresh ingredients
and the spirit of today. Once again we guarantee there
are absolutely no traces of alternative music, or nu-metal
sounds, or any other kind of hyped-up of bullshit.
Only THRASH, just THRASH, more THRASH !
