Albany, New York, February 1996; a band was born that would change the face of the upstate NY metal music scene. Scientifically, the property called "inertia" is the force by which an object in motion stays in motion. Change the first "I" to an "E" and you have ENERTIA, a band that has now stayed in constant motion for over eight years. Always maintaining their consistent line-up of musicians from day one, ENERTIA has released three albums in the United States, and received positive reviews worldwide. ENERTIA has also contributed recordings to several widely released tribute albums. Since the band was formed they have played over 490 shows and festivals, mainly throughout the northeast of the US of A.

The ENERTIA sound is a well-crafted blend of power, melody, groove, and aggressiveness, produced by musicians that have worked hard to master their individual crafts. Their influences, including classic heavy metal, hard rock, progressive metal and more, come together flawlessly. The result is a captivating sound that is all their own.

ENERTIA now releases FORCE, their new album for MAUSOLEUM RECORDS, which was recorded at SONIC RANCH Studios in Texas with producer NEIL KERNON [NEIL’S impressive credits include JUDAS PRIEST, NEVERMORE and QUEENSRYCHE]. The final mastering of the FORCE album was done by JOE GASTWIRT [who has mastered recordings for PEARL JAM, YES and JIMI HENDRIX, to name-drop but three striking names]. FORCE is a true-to-life time-stamp of where the band is at in 2004. Look for ENERTIA to tour extensively once again in Both the USA and EUROPE in the near future.
