The Brazilian outfit ANDRALLS was formed in 1998 by
ALEX COELHO - Guitar and Vocals, DENIS DI LALLO - Guitar,
EDDIE C. – Bass, and GUSTAVO PINHEIRO – Drums. Their
sole musical purpose was playing pure eighties-style
thrash metal. ANDRALLS like it their music heavy, they
like it fast (very fast), injecting an essential dose
of personality in their metal in the process, thus forging
their own special alloy of fast-thrash.
Within the first year they entered the QUORUM Studios
in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and recorded their debut album
MASSACRE, CORRUPTION, DESTRUCTION. The 10-track auto-released
debut caught the favorable attention of the Brazilian
rock music media and greatly encouraged the band to
prepare the recording of a follow-up record. Around
the same time, and after quite a few auditions XANDAO
BRITO, who had previously already played in another
band with ALEX and EDDIE, replaced GUSTAVO on drums.
ANDRALLS then embarked on a nationwide tour, playing
in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Londrina, and
other major Brazilian cities. Thanks to their growing
popularity they were subsequently invited to tour with
JUDAS PRIEST, once more around Brazil.
As a result ARMANDO PEREIRA of MARQUEE RECORDS took
notice, made them an offer, and ANDRALLS inked their
recording agreement late 2002, and had their second
album, FORCE AGAINST MIND, in the can by February 2003,
and in the record shops by July of the same year.
MARQUEE RECORDS already had a friendly relationship
with MAUSOLEUM RECORDS in Europe since the latter label
had also signed RIVER OF DEATH, the debut album by fellow
countrymen NORDHEIM. Furthermore FORCE AGAINST MIND
came highly recommended by various radio stations and
magazines in Europe who had heard advance copies of
the ANDRALLS album. So it was only a matter of (a very
short) time before MAUSOLEUM snapped up FORCE AGAINST
MIND for release in Europe. ANDRALLS and MARQUEE RECORDS
furthermore graciously supplied MAUSOLEUM with three
additional bonus tracks, which were not featured on
the original Brazilian release.
On the strength of their success with FORCE AGAINST
MIND, the band then embarked on a countrywide tour of
Brazil. They also toured their native Brazil with MALEVOLENT
CREATION IN September 2003, and with EXODUS in August
2004.
And now ANDRALLS, who have been called the SEPULTURA
of the new Millennium, unleash INNER TRAUMA, their third
full-length album, which again contains an additional
track not featured on the Brazilian release.
INNER TRAUMA can best be described as: fast, furious,
intense and immense!
